Teaching Assistant Level 3 – Manchester Sensory Support Service

What you’ll be doing

 As a Teaching Assistant, you will be required to work with children with visual impairment of all ages (0-19), across all types of education settings, or at the child’s home.

You will be joining our highly skilled team of teachers, TAs and other professionals, committed to helping children achieve the best educational, social and emotional outcomes, and independence.

What we need from you

  • You’re passionate about inclusion and supporting children to thrive
  • You may have experience supporting children with visual impairment (desirable)
  • You’re flexible, positive, and able to work across multiple settings
  • You can communicate effectively with children and young people with vision impairment
  • You’re resilient, reliable and a team player
  • You hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your own transport (mileage paid)
  • You share the values and vision of The Big Life group

What we will offer you in return

  • An annual salary of £28,168 – £31,067 (NJC SCP 13-19) pro rata to term-time hours
  • A permanent, full-time contract (term-time only)
