A safe place for mental health support: an alternative offer to A&E
SAFE Tameside is Tameside’s VCSFE Community Crisis space hosted from The Anthony Seddon Centre and delivered in partnership by four organisations: The Big Life Group, The Anthony Seddon Fund, TOG Mind and Infinity Support services. The Big Life Group is the lead organisation for the voluntary sector providers within the service.
We are a non-clinical, peer support led service for people aged 18 or over where you can get mental health support, advice and meet others with lived experience of mental ill-health in a safe, relaxed, and friendly environment.
You can talk as much or as little as you want – whether you are at crisis point yourself or seeking crisis support for someone you know.
SAFE Tameside offers an enhanced non-clinical dimension to the local crisis and emergency offer in Tameside
SAFE Tameside operates between 1pm to 8pm Monday to Friday and 10am to 3pm Saturdays and Bank holidays.
You can access the service without prior arrangement by way of a drop-in service (up until 7pm) where wait times are kept to a minimum or via telephone.
