Introducing Big Life Futures, our new children’s care services. 

Big Life are excited to be developing Big Life Futures, our new children’s care services. 

Over the course of the next year, we intend to open a new Children’s Home and develop an Independent Fostering Agency. With a mission to fight for equity, Big Life is perfectly placed to do this. We will provide quality, not-for-profit services in a sector currently dominated by for-profit investors.  

Many of the adults we currently work with have had a negative experience of care, and this has impacted on the rest of their lives. We also know that the current system is not providing the type of care that can break this cycle. 

We will deliver these services in the Big Life Way, using trauma-informed and community-based approaches. Our purpose is to provide loving, stable, and therapeutic environments for children and young people, close to the places and people who matter most to them.

Big Life Futures will also support people who could provide great foster care but haven’t the space in their current home by providing them with larger accommodation. With a huge need for more great foster parents, we believe that it’s vital to remove social and economic barriers that currently stop people from fostering.
