Community Voice services
Community Voice acts as a bridge between the people that use Liverpool’s drug and alcohol services, the commissioners and the services themselves. We work to ensure those services meet the needs of the people using them.
What we offer
We hold monthly meetings with guest speakers where people can share their own experiences of the different services they have accessed.
We provide an advocacy service to help people find and access the right services for them. Many people living with addiction face barriers that can stop them finding the help they need.
We have many volunteering opportunities, such as training to become an advocate, representing service users at events and mystery shopping services.
Mystery shopping has been introduced at the request of a number of service providers. Community Voice volunteers ‘mystery shop’ services to help providers improve and strengthen their quality and standards.
Quality Assurance Mark – we are working with commissioners to develop a kitemark for organisations which deliver quality drug and alcohol services.
Our City Our Services. This annual event brings together services in a ‘market place’ to give local people the chance to find out what is on offer in the city.
Community Voice holds regular meetings with commissioners and provides input into the drug and alcohol strategy for Liverpool.
We now also run a drop-in service for anyone who has been affected by drug and alcohol issues. People will be able to get advice on and referrals to services and receive support to make complaoints about services. The drop-in is at the Big issue in the North office, 33-35 Cheapside, Liverpool L2 2DY and runs from 1.00pm to 3.00pm Monday-Friday.
