Qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner – Stockport

Salary: £26,970 per annum – fixed point- NHS band 5, point 4 (pro-rata)
Working hours: 37.5 hours per week
Contract length: Permanent
Holidays: 25 days per annum (rising to 30 days after 5 years)
Based at: Brookfield House, Stockport

Self Help is a user led mental health charity that has developed considerable expertise in the field of primary care mental health.  The charity currently delivers a range of services including self help support groups, cCBT services, counselling and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. The charity is funded by various NHS Trusts and works across the North West with the head office based in Hulme, Manchester.

We are looking for a motivated Qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) to join our expanding psychological wellbeing service in Stockport.  The post holders will work alongside other PWPs and E Therapists within a stepped care model to provide a range of NICE approved low intensity interventions for depression and anxiety disorders.  Treatment will be delivered through a range of modalities including face-to-face work, telephone therapy, E-therapy and facilitating structured groups such as the stress and anxiety group.

We offer flexible working patterns, agile working and working from home.

The successful candidates will be skilled in delivering low intensity therapy, highly motivated with the ability to organise and prioritise their own workload and will have successfully completed an approved IAPT PWP Post Graduate Certificate. Self Help  can provide excellent opportunities for ongoing personal and professional development through regular supervision and training opportunities. Self Help Services welcomes applications from people with personal experience of mental health problems.
