Qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner, Stockport

Salary: £26, 220 per annum (fixed point 4 of band 5 on the NHS scale)
Working hours: 37.5
Contract: Permanent
Based at: Brookfield House, Stockport (travel across Stockport required)

Self Help Services is a user led mental health charity that has developed considerable expertise in the field of primary care mental health. The charity currently delivers a range of services including self help support groups, cCBT services, counselling and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. The charity is funded by various NHS Trusts and works across the North West with the head office based in Hulme, Manchester.

We are looking for motivated Qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (PWP) to join our expanding psychological wellbeing service in Stockport. The post holders will work alongside other PWPs within a stepped care model to provide a range of NICE approved low intensity interventions for depression and anxiety disorders. Treatment will be delivered through a range of modalities including face-to-face work, telephone therapy and facilitating structured groups such as anger and irritability, worry, stress and bereavement and loss.

The successful candidates will be skilled in delivering low intensity therapy, highly motivated with the ability to organise and prioritise their own workload and will have successfully completed an approved IAPT PWP Post Graduate Certificate. Self Help Services can provide excellent opportunities for ongoing personal and professional development through regular supervision and training opportunities. Self Help Services welcomes applications from people with personal experience of mental health problems.
