IAPT Step 2 Counsellor

Salary: £27,780 per annum
Working hours: 37.5 hours per week
Contract length: Permanent
Holidays: 25 days per annum, pro-rata (rising to 30 days after 5 years)
Based at: Oakland House, Trafford – with flexible working

Do you have an ability provide counselling support?

Do you have the skills to work under your own initiative and be able to manage your own caseload?

Can you work to deadlines and deal with conflicting priorities?

We are looking for a motivated counsellor to join our expanding Talking Therapies service in Manchester. The post holder will work alongside a team of psychological wellbeing practitioners, counsellors and assistant PWPs within a stepped care model to provide a range of NICE approved low intensity interventions for depression and anxiety disorders.  Therapy will be delivered through a range of modalities including face-to-face work, video and telephone

The successful candidate will be a skilled person-centred or integrative counsellor, highly motivated with the ability to organise and prioritise their own workload, preferably with experience of working within an IAPT programme. An understanding of basic CBT is desirable as you will be working in conjunction with CBT-based practitioners.
