Thinking Ahead is a NHS Commissioned service as part of The Big Life Group, which is user led mental health charity that has developed considerable expertise in the field of primary care mental health. The charity currently delivers a range of services including self help support groups, cCBT services, counselling and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. The charity is funded by various NHS Trusts and works across the North West with the head office based in Hulme, Manchester.
We are looking for motivated counsellors to join our expanding psychological wellbeing service in Rochdale, Middleton and Heywood. The post holders will work alongside a team of psychological wellbeing practitioners, counsellors and CBT Therapists within a stepped care model to provide a range of NICE approved counselling interventions for depression and anxiety disorders. Treatment will be delivered through a range of modalities including face-to-face work and telephone therapy.
The successful candidate will be a skilled person-centred or integrative counsellor, highly motivated with the ability to organise and prioritise their own workload, preferably with experience of working within an IAPT programme, qualification in either Counselling for depression or couples counselling is desirable. Self Help Services can provide excellent opportunities for ongoing personal and professional development through regular supervision and training opportunities. Self Help Services welcomes applications from people with personal experience of mental health problems.
