About us
Big Life is in the business of changing lives. We fight inequality by working with people and places to create opportunities and inspire change. Whatever service we deliver to help people to change their lives, we do things the Big Life Way.
What you’ll be doing
As an Assertive Outreach Worker within our Achieve service, you will work with people who are experiencing problems with substance misuse across Bury, Bolton, Salford, Trafford and in a Criminal Justice setting, and who may be hard to engage or resistant to services.
Your role will involve facilitating individuals’ participation in treatment programs, ensuring their specific requirements are met by fostering partnerships with various organisations, such as Prisons, Probation, community groups, hostels, homelessness services, pharmacies, needle exchanges, and housing providers. Through collaboration, you will assist in tailoring support to suit each person’s needs effectively.

Studies have shown that women and people of colour are less likely to apply for jobs unless they meet every single qualification. We are dedicated to creating a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace and would especially like to hear from applicants from Black, Asian and other racially marginalised communities.
The closing date for applications is Friday, 6 October at 5pm. Applications received after this time will not be considered and CVs will not be accepted. Interviews will take place the week commencing 16th October 2023.
If you need more support or for information in a different format, please contact Denise Holcroft at denise.holcroft@thebiglifegroup.com.
