Drop-In Group Facilitators: ongoing recruitmentComments Off
Location: Various venues across Manchester
Salary: £7.85 per hour
Length of contract: Casual hours contract
Self Help is a user led mental health charity that has developed considerable expertise in the field of primary care mental health. We currently deliver a range of services including self help support groups within the communities we work in across the North West. Self Help originally began in 1995 when our Founder Nicky Lidbetter established peer support drop-in groups across Manchester, these groups remaining a crucial part of our charity over 20 years later.
An opportunity has arisen for bank Drop-in Group Facilitators to join our Community Services team. This would entail providing cover for our peer support drop-in groups when our regular facilitators are unable to attend.
We are looking for reliable and committed individuals, who have a lived experience of mental health difficulties, to facilitate group meetings for two hours per week as and when required and when able to provide cover.
Successful individuals will have good communication and listening skills with basic literacy/numeracy and administration skills. Individuals will also be committed to working within Self Help Services’ vision and values and to partnership working.
