At Big Life, we aim to be first class in everything we do.
At Big Life, we aim to be first class in everything we do. That means that we have robust process in place to check the quality and safety of our work. It also means that we listen to feedback from the people who use our services – good and bad – and do everything we can to use that to improve.
The Big Life group is overseen by The Big Life group board, which comprises non-exec directors and charity trustees. A separate Multi-Academy Trust Board oversees Big Life Schools.
As well as sitting on the board, our medical director, Louise Grant, chairs our Clinical Service Governance Board. Their job is to ensure that we continually strive to improve the quality and safety of services we deliver. The board meets quarterly, and produces a report each year, assessing our standards.
We believe we have high standards and do everything as well as we can, but we also believe that external accreditation is important to make sure we maintain those standards.
We try our best to deliver the best service we possibly can – but we always want to improve.

Big Life believes that it is always unacceptable for a child, young person or adult at risk to experience abuse of any kind, and recognises its responsibility to safeguarding the welfare of all adults, children and young people, by a commitment to practice which protects them.

However, there are some Privacy Notices that are relevant across Big Life:
In light of the current situation, we are making changes to the way we deliver services at the moment. One-to-one appointments that would normally be delivered face-to-face will now take place over the phone or through video call. There is no need to call us to confirm – your regular point of contact will call you at the time your appointment was scheduled.
We are also no longer holding groups inside. We’re currently arranging alternatives where possible through considering walking or virtual groups. Please contact your group facilitator, or the centre where the group runs from, for more information.
