The Big Week
From the 21st of June 2010 we spent a whole week promoting the good work we do at The Big Issue In The North and raising awareness of our aims.
Busting myths and spreading the good word...
We held stalls in all of the cities we work in during the week. This wasan opportunity for us to engage with the public, to answer your questions and find out your opinions on the magazine. All ideas for improvement were welcommed and our staff were on hand to talk you through any aspect of our work that you may be confused about.

Volunteer Awards
Our volunteers are a vital part of the team and to show them how much we value their work we are holding an awards ceremony at The Kath Locke Centre.
Nominations have been taken from across the centres for volunteers who have demonstrated our values the best.

It was a great afternoon which offered volunteers a chance to meet each other and to hear from Chief Executive of The Big Life Group Fay Selvan about the importance of their work
On yer bike
To get our vendors involved in all the excitment we are offered them the chance to win a brand new mountian bike. The idea is to encourage strong ongoing sales with the best record being congratulated with the winning prize. The bike will be a great help to the winning vendor, allowing them to travel to and from the office and their pitch at no cost while increasing their fitness.
