Open Door ensures that the people, who are most vulnerable in society, get the opportunity to improve their lives, by providing health, social care, information, and advice services.
Open Door uses a social health model of care offering a holistic and integrated service to the diverse groups in the most deprived areas of Grimsby. It is a proactive, empathetic service that pays as much attention to the determinants of ill health as it does to the ill health itself. Run as a social enterprise it provides appropriate economic opportunities to its users and helps to regenerate the local community. It is inclusive of all communities; although it is focused on those most in need it is available to all.
We will reflect on all that we do. We take time to consider how effective we are and how we can be better. We do not react to circumstances, but proactively work to achieve our vision.
We look for new ways to do things and always question what is ‘accepted’. We seize opportunities and look for new solutions
