The Big Life group are social businesses and charities working together to change the world; to illustrate a new way of doing business and provide support and opportunity for people to change their lives.

We believe opportunity is the greatest gift with which to empower an individual. The Big Life group works with people who have been excluded from mainstream society – due to health, housing, education or skill. And we celebrate the diversity of knowledge and experience of everyone it works with. Different cultures, religions, approaches to life, and people with different abilities, will interact together to give us new ways to see the world, and enjoy it together.

Our mission is to change the world.   To bring about social justice for the most excluded in society -to create a new way of working and a new way of living.   A world where people can make mistakes and be helped to move on and change.  A world where everyone has the opportunity to improve themselves and develop their potential.  Where people’s needs are met, and their talents and assets utilised.  Not a world divided into the needy and the sorted.

The Big Life group is not a charity, a voluntary organisation, a social business, a public sector agency, or even a private business.  It is all of these things mixed together.  It is setting the tone for a new way of working – a new future.  A future where every business has social outputs, and where every social venture is business like.
