I started coming to the Zion after the (new) building opened about three and a half years ago, I wasn’t quite sure what the place was about, the first person I met was Anna who was then on reception, she explained everything to me about the Centre.

I started going to the women’s group, the garden project, Dash drop-in and HARP for advice; which I have always found to be honest advice. I have made lots and lots of friends here at the Zion, the people who I attend the groups with and the staff from the Centre What I like most about the Zion is that I get support and I have never felt patronised or looked down upon. The staff are always friendly, approachable and down to earth. I just love coming to the Centre, as I feel safe and comfortable, the people are genuine and friendly, it’s more like a family to me and I feel that I belong here. I have been approached about becoming a volunteer, which was really great but I think it’s something I could do at a later date.
