Award success
Big Life Employment scooped two awards for their Intermediate Labour Market project at a prestigious event recently. The awards were hosted by the North West European Social Fund.

The Giving a Lift project provides 13 week placements for young people in the Partington area of Greater Manchester. With the help of experienced gardeners and maintenance workers, they provide a grounds maintenance service to the local housing estate, and to other organisations in the region.

By the end of the placement, the young people involved in the project will not only have helped improve the local area, repairing damaged fences and tidying gardens, for example, but will also have completed a vocational preparation course to help them back to work, and gained some valuable like skills and work experience in the process.

The project is funded by ERDF money with support from Ainscough.
