W3C definition of accessibility:

Web accessibility means that people with disabilities can use the Web. More specifically, Web accessibility means that people with disabilities can perceive, understand, navigate, and interact with the Web, and that they can contribute to the Web. Web accessibility also benefits others, including older people with changing abilities due to aging.

  • All pages are designed using CSS - no tables have been used in the design of the GHT website.
  • Structure and presentation are totally separated - each pages contain just the text that you see on the screen and some structural tags
  • All informational images have a descriptive ALT text and decorative images are either relegated to the CSS document or have a null ALT attribute

You can use one of our stylesheet to view the site (read below for full details). Alternatively you can view it with your own.

Text Only version

The text only version will allow you to view the site without any images.

High contrast version

The High contrast version allow visual impaired people to view the site with a dark background. On this version the text is assigned a relative font size - this means that you can resize the text if you want to.

To do so:

  • Internet Explorer: View > Text size
  • Firefox: View > Text size
  • Opera: File > Preferences > Fonts > Minimum font size (pixels)

Alternatively, scroll with the wheel of your mouse whilst holding down the control key. You can also press the + key on your keyboard whilst holding down the control key.

Font + version

The Font + version allow visual impaired people to view the site. On this version the text is assigned a relative font size - this means that you can resize the text if you want to.

To do so:

  • Opera: File > Preferences > Fonts > Minimum font size (pixels)

This website has been tested and proven to offer full functionality on Windows and Macintosh with:

  • Internet Explorer 6.0 and 7.0
